Interoperability: The 2030 Classroom Stack

Siloed apps are out. Connected ecosystems are in. How APIs are finally allowing the Art department to talk to the SEN department.

"The data should flow like water. If you have to export a CSV, the pipe is broken."

The days of the "Walled Garden" in EdTech are crumbling. Ten years ago, vendors tried to lock you into their ecosystem. "Use our LMS, our SIS, our Finance tool, or nothing works well."

That model is dead. The future is Interoperability.

The Connected Ecosystem

Imagine this workflow:

  1. Trigger: A math teacher logs a test grade of 40% in Arbor (MIS).
  2. Action: This triggers an alert in MeritDocs (SEN Platform).
  3. Response: The SENCO assigns a strategy.
  4. Delivery: The strategy appears in the teacher's Google Classroom sidebar.

This isn't sci-fi. This is possible today with modern APIs (Application Programming Interfaces). But it relies on schools choosing software that is open.

MeritDocs is Open by Design

We believe your data belongs to you, not to us. We build comprehensive APIs that allow your IT team (or other vendors) to read and write to our platform.

A siloed inclusion department is an ineffective one. Break down the walls. See our integration partners.
