How we protect pupil data- Hands-on setup, training and support
- Getting started is easy with our setup service. We'll help migrate existing files and train your staff to get the most out of the platform. Dedicated support is always included via your preferred channel. We're committed to making your switch to MeritDocs as smooth as possible, including migrating existing records. Document structures differ between schools, so we'll work closely with you on the best approach and timeline.
- Single sign-on
- Staff sign in with the Google Workspace account they already use.
- Two-factor authentication
- Two-factor authentication is mandatory for administrators and can be enabled for all staff.
- Roles and document access
- School administrators control who can view and edit individual documents.
- Seats and licences
- Administrators can manage licence allocation, bulk-invite staff, unlock accounts and remove leavers.
- Audit trail
- Every login, view, edit, approval, import and print is logged by user, time and location. Failed access attempts are also recorded. Your full audit log is available from MeritDocs on request.
- Encryption
- We encrypt all sensitive pupil identities and document contents before storage. Not even we can read it.
- Where the data lives
- We store your school's data exclusively in the UK and European Union. When you use our AI to help draft content, the processing stays with the UK and EU in a secure environment. We never train on any of your data.
- Leaving
- Your documents are always accessible outside MeritDocs. Export in your choice of Microsoft Word, plain text or a PDF optimised for physical printing. Should you choose to end your subscription, we delete your organisation's data in full.
